So you thought you could get away with saying there’s nothing to do, huh? Better luck next time, because this weekend there’s a ton to do in Arlington, VA.
It all starts off on the morning of Saturday, April 10th with free (as in beer) gardening classes at the Home Expo. There will be free soil test kits, advice on greening up your lawn and more. The classes will be presented by the Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia.
Then later that evening, consider a vegan dinner, dancing and drinks at Toscana Grill. The event promises an exciting array of plant-based cuisine, all you can eat appetizers and then later that night dancing and a great selection of wine. Compassion Over Killing will be hosting the event.
In related news, I’ve become a writer for ARLnow.com, a hyperlocal news source for the Arlington, VA area that offers a more organic community-oriented approach to news vs. the aggregation-centric style that most large media outlets offer. ARLnow.com also has a great events calendar, so check it out for more info about local activities.
